There are five basic kinds of art. Subcategories exist in each of these kinds of art. Often, these kinds of art are misrepresented or more often, misunderstood. Whether the work is three dimensional sculpture or two dimensional, it will still fall under one of these three main kinds of art. These kinds of art are representational, abstract, or non-objective. The intent of the artist often times informs us on the kinds of art at which we are viewing. Beyond this, the application of the medium can also have an effect on the type of artwork.
There are many different kinds of art, they are all different. They consist of:
1.Fine Art: The term “Fine Art” refers to an art form practiced mainly for its aesthetic value and beauty rather than its functional value. Fine art is rooted in drawing and design based works such as types of painting, printmaking, and sculpture. It’s often contrasted with ”Applied Art.”
3.Decorative Art: The term “Decorative Art” its a traditional term for a wide range of artistic disciplines concerned with the designs and ornamentation of items, usually functional, that may have some aesthetic qualities.
