Description
STAY SAFE: BODY, OUR FIRST HOME
We can only be safe when we stay home, no wonder they say stay home. The BODY is our first home and it is the substance that embodies our invisible being. The home is meant to protect us even as we stay in our garments and buildings (which are made of fabric, clay, cement, stone, wood, metal, etc). We are still exposed as we keep our outlets and inlets open through various news that fly around (both positive and negative news). I would submit that to stay home safe, we must guard our body (home) against this virus. We must kick out fear.
Just as the sea washes away bebris (wastes) to the shore, may we use this period to purify our body and keep it clean. May we find that inner peace of the sea which we crave for when we visit the beach to connect with and purify our body(home).
The shells of the snail highlights the analogy of the body as our first home, as the snail carries its shell (body, home) from place to place. Drawing from the vast wisdom of the snail, it has left us another one in this period of COVID 19 pandemic by leaving us a trail on the sand which reads “STAY SAFE”. The snail has retired inside its home, just to lead by example.
