Your Data and Account Deletion

Last updated 23 August 2026

This page explains how to see, export, and delete the personal information BuyAvrika holds about you. It is written to be readable, not just legal.

See and export your data

Vendors: your products, orders, and customer list are yours. You can download your customers and orders as CSV files from your dashboard at any time. For a full export of everything we hold, email hello@buyavrika.com from your account email and we will send it within 30 days.

Buyers: email hello@buyavrika.com and we will tell you what we hold and correct or delete it on request, subject to records vendors must keep for orders you placed with them.

Deleting your vendor account

You can delete your account from your dashboard under Settings. Deletion is designed to protect the buyers who trusted your store, so it works like this:

1. Outstanding orders block deletion. If you have paid orders that are not yet delivered or cancelled, you must fulfil or cancel them first. This protects people who have already paid you.

2. Recent buyers are told. When you request deletion, everyone who bought from you in the last 30 days gets an email letting them know the store is closing, with a way to raise any issue with a recent order.

3. A minimum 7 day waiting period. Your store closes immediately, but full deletion happens no earlier than 7 days after your request. If a buyer raises a genuine issue in that window, deletion is paused until it is resolved.

4. Then everything goes. After the waiting period, your store, products, media, customer list and account are permanently deleted. Order records required for accounting and legal compliance are kept in anonymised form only. You can cancel a pending deletion at any time before it completes.

What we keep after deletion

Financial records the law requires us to keep, in a form no longer linked to a usable account, and information needed to resolve an ongoing dispute or legal claim, kept only until the matter closes.

Analytics on stores

Store analytics is first party and minimal: page views and an anonymous visitor identifier stored in your own browser. There is no cross site tracking by BuyAvrika. Individual vendors may add their own advertising pixels to their store; those are governed by the vendor's own policies.
