Privacy Policy

BuyAvrika is a store builder operated by SOKOFA LTD ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to vendors who run stores on BuyAvrika and to buyers who shop from those stores. We comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the NDPR.

What we collect

Vendors: your email address, store details, and, where you choose payouts, your bank account details and a government issued ID for identity verification. Your ID document is stored privately and used only for verification.

Buyers: the name, phone number, delivery address and optional email you enter at checkout. This information goes to the store you buy from so they can fulfil your order.

Everyone: basic technical information such as pages visited on a store, used to show vendors how their store performs. This analytics is first party: we do not sell it and we do not use third party advertising trackers on stores unless the vendor adds their own pixels.

How we use it

To run stores, process and deliver orders, send order and account emails, verify vendor identity, prevent fraud, process payments through our payment partner Paystack, and improve the product. We send marketing messages only where you have agreed to receive them, and every one has an unsubscribe option.

Who we share it with

Payment processing with Paystack, email delivery with our email provider, SMS delivery with our SMS provider, and hosting infrastructure providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. When you buy from a store, the vendor receives your order details. We never sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept while your account is active. Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and dispute resolution. Identity documents are kept only as long as verification and fraud prevention require.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Vendors can delete their whole account from their dashboard; see our data management page for exactly how deletion works. To exercise any right, email hello@buyavrika.com.
